People Power Alaska is a convenient way to stay up-to-date on issues impacting electric costs. It's also an easy way to learn more about the benefits of belonging to a public power utility, including non-profit rates, local control and a strong commitment to community. If an issue or piece of legislation comes up that would impact electric rates for better or worse, we provide you with the information you need to contact your elected officials and policymakers at the state and federal levels.

As a People Power Alaska member, you'll receive:

• Briefings on current issues impacting Alaska's electric utility industry
• Legislative alerts that tell you when your help is needed
• Supporting information to help you contact your elected officials

This program is free to consumers. You're never under any obligation and can cancel your participation at any time.

Your Role

It was people who started the movement for consumer-owned utilities. It must be People Power Alaska again that fights for affordable and available power in the future. Your personal information will never be shared with others, and you are never under any obligation.

As a member of People Power Alaska, we might ask you to:

• Learn about the benefits of belonging to a consumer-owned utility
• Access issue updates, education materials and action alerts through the People Power Alaska web site
• Contact your state and federal legislators when needed
• Sign up friends, family and local businesses to join this grassroots effort
